The Jurong Region Line Creating A Comprehensive Transport Network for Singapore Residents to Enjoy Greater Travel Convenience
The Jurong Region Line (JRL) is Singapore’s latest MRT line, designed to create a comprehensive transport network that will improve travel convenience and connectivity for Singapore residents. The 24 km line will link the western part of Singapore to the city’s northern and eastern regions, providing commuters with a direct route to popular destinations such as Jurong East, Boon Lay, and Jurong West.
The JRL is expected to be completed by 2028 and will serve as an important transport link for the city’s commuters. The line will feature 24 stations, including four interchange stations that will provide convenient transfers between other MRT lines. The line will also feature a total of 14 new stations, which will provide direct access to shopping malls, housing estates, and other important locations such as the Singapore Science Centre and the National University of Singapore.
