Hyatt Hotels to launch ‘Caption’ brand hotel in Australia
Hyatt Hotels has announced a management-related agreement with LFG Property to include a Caption by Hyatt Hotel in Sydney, Australia. Opening in 2025, this will be the brand’s first location in the country.
The hotel will consist of 174 rooms and be located in Haymarket – in the south of Sydney’s CBD – near various universities, Chinatown, Capitol Theatre, Darling Harbour, Sydney International Convention Centre and Tech Central innovation and technology precinct.
The hotel is aiming for a contemporary, urban industrial style with the design made up of colour, textures and hand-drawn graphic art. As part of the hotel’s ‘upscale, lifestyle-forward’ brand, Caption by Hyatt will also provide digital check-in, digital keys and mobile-order food services.

The Caption brand concept was first introduced in Memphis, US, in 2022 and Hyatt has since announced plans for more openings in Australia, China, Japan and Vietnam over the next two years.

The opening of the new Caption by Hyatt Hotel in Sydney, Australia marks Hyatt’s debut in the country and is part of an ongoing expansion strategy for the brand. With digital services set to be integrated with the hotel, the scenes in 2025 promise convenience and a new way for guests to connect with the local culture.
